Managing Projects
Projects are how Convultra organizes tracking for different websites or domains. Each project has its own conversions, traffic data, integrations, and API keys. If you manage multiple sites, you will have a separate project for each one.
Project List
The Projects page shows all your projects in a list with key information at a glance:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name | The project name you chose during setup. |
| Domain | The website domain being tracked. |
| Conversions | Total conversions tracked for this project. |
| Revenue | Total revenue attributed to this project. |
| Last Activity | When the most recent conversion or event was recorded. |
Creating a New Project
Click "New Project"
From the Projects page, click the New Project button in the top-right corner.
Enter project details
Fill in the following fields:
- Name — A friendly name for the project (e.g., "Main Website" or "US Store")
- Domain — The domain you want to track (e.g.,
example.com). Do not includehttps://or trailing slashes. - Timezone — Select the timezone that matches your business location. This affects how daily metrics are calculated.
- Currency — Choose the currency for revenue reporting (USD, EUR, GBP, etc.).
Automatic platform detection
When you enter your domain, Convultra checks whether your site runs on WordPress, Shopify, or Wix. If a platform is detected, you will see it displayed below the domain field. This means:
- Installation instructions in your dashboard will be tailored to your platform (e.g., WordPress plugin download, Shopify snippet placement)
- The onboarding wizard highlights the matching install method first
- Settings → API Keys & Installation defaults to the correct tab
If your platform is not detected (custom-built sites, staging URLs, etc.), you can still choose any installation method manually.
Save and install
Click Create Project. You will be taken to the project dashboard where you can copy your SDK installation snippet and set up integrations.
The maximum number of projects you can create depends on your plan. Check your Settings page to see your current plan limits.
Project Settings
To edit a project, navigate to it using the project switcher and go to Settings. You can update:
- Name — Rename the project at any time.
- Domain — Update the tracked domain if your site URL changes.
- Timezone — Change the timezone used for daily metric calculations.
- Currency — Switch the currency for revenue reporting.
- Favicon — Convultra automatically detects and displays your site's favicon next to the project name. This updates automatically when your site's favicon changes.
API Keys
Each project has its own API key used by the SDK and API to send data. You can manage API keys from the project settings page.
Viewing Your API Key
API keys are masked by default for security. Click the eye icon or "Reveal" button to temporarily show the full key.
Regenerating an API Key
If your API key has been compromised or you need a fresh one:
Open project settings
Navigate to the project and go to Settings > API Keys.
Click "Regenerate"
Click the Regenerate button next to the API key.
Confirm the action
A confirmation dialog will appear. Read the warning carefully.
Regenerating an API key immediately invalidates the old key. Any SDK installations, API integrations, or scripts using the old key will stop working until they are updated with the new key. Make sure you are ready to update all your integrations before confirming.
Copying Your API Key
Click the Copy button next to the API key to copy it to your clipboard. Use this when setting up the SDK or configuring integrations.
Project Switcher
The project switcher in the top navigation lets you quickly jump between projects without going back to the Projects page. Click the current project name in the header to open the switcher, then select the project you want to view.
Deleting a Project
To delete a project, go to Settings and scroll to the bottom of the page. Click Delete Project.
Deleting a project is permanent and cannot be undone. All conversion data, traffic analytics, integration configurations, and API keys associated with the project will be permanently removed. You will be asked to type the project name to confirm deletion.
Go to project settings
Navigate to the project you want to delete and open Settings.
Scroll to the danger zone
At the bottom of the settings page, find the Delete Project section.
Confirm deletion
Click Delete Project, then type the project name exactly as shown to confirm. Click Confirm Delete to proceed.
